Most people don’t know that I am an accomplished dramatic actor… But I’ve performed in several Shakespeare productions including Hamlet, except in this version, Hamlet lives in an apartment with two women, and has to pretend he’s gay so that the landlord won’t evict him”- John Ritter
On September 11, 2003, famous Emmy award winning sitcom actor John Ritter(Three’s Company, and 8 Simple Rules for dating my daughter) passed away due to a torn aorta, while on the set of 8 Simple Rules. Ritter’s wife and children claimed that if he had received proper treatment and diagnostic, he would have lived longer.
The family had decided to sue doctors at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, for not detecting that the aorta had increased in size. They were suing for $67 million dollars, having already received $14 million in other miscellaneous suits for the sudden and tragic death.
The trail began February 11, 2008, and finally came to a conclusion today when the jury decided that the doctors were not guilty for Ritter’s death on a jury count of 9 to 3.
