Dallas, Texas (WiredPRWeb.com) — Back in the 90’s the first DVD was created; even though everyone had a VHS player in their houses and mostly owned video tapes the conversion to DVD’s slowly started. Everyone wanted a more advanced video watching experience with clearer print, more options, and more special features- DVD was the answer.
By the dawn of the millennium this conversion was almost complete and by around 2005 the VHS become extinct. Now that this transfer from VHS to DVD has finally ended a new transformation is about to begin- the transformation from DVD to Blu-Ray Disc. Does that mean that in a couple of years you will have to pay extra to rent a movie? Does that mean that you will have to pay more for a player that will support this new type of disc? The answer to both is yes!
For those of you who do not know what a Blu-Ray disc is, it is simply a new optical disc storage media that is read by a blue laser and can hold more information on it. This means that instead of packing a movie on to a two disc set with fancy packaging you can simply put all of the special features on one disc plus the fancy packaging. So what is so great about Blu-Ray? First of all image quality is extremely better while sound is awesome.
