FunAsia Dallas - Voice of the Dallas Asian Community
Richardson, TX (WiredPRNews) — When FunAsia first opened up in 2003, it started off as new competition for the other only Bollywood cinema, Everest Theaters, in the Fort Worth Metroplex. They also offered more than one banquet halls. As time went by they grew larger, and in doing so hosted concerts, started a radio station, hosted fashion shows, started distributing a monthly magazine for which they got many advertisers, and also launched a website. Today our main goal is to take a look at this website.
Back in 2003 Funasia’s main goal seemed to be the voice for the Asian community through their advertising and facilities. Their website helps in doing so. When you first enter the website you are greeted with many colorful pictures of Bollywood films, and posters of their advertisers. The main focus of their website seems to be advertising. You find advertisements for their company, the movies playing at their theaters, as well as for their sponsors and advertisers. One of the greatest factors of the website is its universal appeal. FunAsia goes a step further than most Asian websites features all of its content in english or transliteration- this helps people who speak English navigate through the site with much ease.
Obviously not all things are perfect. While it offers a visually enriching layout for its audience the website could use a little more writing rather than visuals. They can also update their website by adding flash instead of a slideshow on their front page.
Overall, for more than 5 years FunAsia has been the voice of the Asian community. Their website only adds to this voice to make it even clearer and more widely heard.
