Arlington, TX(WiredPRNews)  — With the presidential elections coming up within the next couple of months, it seems like the candidates are finally starting to talk about some of the important issues that no one has brought up yet. Democratic candidate, Barack Obama, gave a moving speech about today’s education system at Mapleton Expeditionary School of the Arts in Thornton, Co.

“I don’t want to send another generation of American children to failing schools. I don’t want that future for my daughters. I don’t want that future for your sons. I do not want that future for America.” - — Barack Obama, Jefferson-Jackson Dinner, Des Moines, Iowa, November 10, 2007

Change - We can beleive in In his speech he talked about how todays education system does not live up to its potential standards and how he would like to change a couple of things including teacher salary, if he were to be elected. Besides teachers salary, he also talks about making college more affordable, free community college as well the lately neglected ‘No Child Left Behind Law’, which helps parents having more flexibility in which schools their students go to, more trained teachers, and an overall better educational system.

While no one can be sure while his promises will be kept or not, we sure can feel more secure knowing that these important issues that affect today’s generations and generations to come, are indeed being taken seriously.
