Obama receives Al Gore’s endorsement - Make a Donation Now
New Jersey (WiredPRNews.com) — It seems the two most innovative Democratic minds of the modern day are joining forces to bring America into a newer and positive future.
The Associated Press reported on Monday that former Democratic candidate (and organic winner) Al Gore has given his full support and endorsement to current Democratic candidate Barack Obama. According to the report, Gore “will do whatever he can to help him get to the White House.”
Outspoken Gore addressed Obama supporters in an email and on a link to Obama’s website from his own website pointing out that Obama has, in a sense, brought the nation together in a movement of change–one of Obama’s key slogans for his campaign. Gore praises Obama for having the ability to have “united a movement over the past year and a half.”
Former Vice President Gore takes his support a step further by doing something he’s never done before–even during his own campaign for president. On his website, http://www.algore.com, Gore is asking his supporters to donate to Obama’s political campaign. This is definitely a sure sign that change is the name of the game.
During the 2008 primaries, Gore has kept a relatively low profile in regards to speaking out for either candidate. As one of the most popular Democratic figures, however, Gore has chosen to publicly support a candidate that most closely reflects his own platforms during this pivotal time in presidential history. Gore plans to appear with Obama at a rally in Detroit on Monday night.
