New York City, New York (WiredPRNews.com) — The 2008 holiday collection presentations from Gap Inc. including shopper favorites such as Old Navy, Banana Republic and Gap in New York showed a flurry of rich colors and luxurious styles.
Banana Republic is at the higher end of the spectrum of Gap Inc. with the self-described ‘Accessible Luxury’ mantra highlighting the evening look with their version of fall lace designs from Prada. Holiday styles also displayed silk cocktail dresses with one-shouldered plunging necklines and flutter sleeve designs in rich colors such as deep violet, royal blue and raspberry.
There were high volumes of coats with bow details or funnel necks. For the day, there were pop-art printed blouses reminiscent of the 70s, Strong emphasis was given to accessories, particularly to large baubles made of colored and clear crystals.
The holiday collection from Gap displayed winter break designs for college goers with comfy and slouchy designs for both males and females. A chic twist was given to the lumberjack plaids when used along with ruffled front blouse and belted woolen coats for women, while the argyle and stripes, a preppy favorite of the season, were mixed and matched in soft, neutral colors.
The strongest part of the Old Navy holiday collection offered a huge variety of nightwear with flannel and cotton pajama bottoms in fun, bright patterns. Paired with sweaters in shades of aqua and pink tempered with black and grey, the styles will be a hit among college students or kids of all ages who want to add fun to their wardrobe during winter holidays.
