Hollywood, California (WiredPRNews.com) — Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor is recuperating at her home on Tuesday after a brief stay in the hospital for conditions that were not immediately confirmed. As per People.com, Taylor is “at home and happy” after her stint in a Los Angeles hospital following numerous reports that the star was gravely ill.
According to the online magazine and as interviewed by friends of Taylor, The double best actress Oscar winner was feeling well and had plans to visit Europe and Hawaii. Taylor, 76, gave the media no additional statements and her representative would not confirm the report by People.com but noted that nothing had changed since the statement released by Taylor’s camp in July when she was last hospitalized.
According to Reuters, “At that time, several tabloids reported that Taylor was seriously ill, but her spokesman Dick Guttman released a statement saying the rumors were ‘dramatic, overstated and untrue’ and ‘her hospital visit was precautionary.'”
Making her mark in the movies and as a world-wide Hollywood celebrity, Taylor has made a name for herself covering many generations with a few ups and downs along the way. Beginning as a teenage actor with captivating violet eyes, Taylor became known for her roles in “Lassie Come Home” and “National Velvet” and won Oscars for 1966’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” and 1960’s “Butterfield 8.”
Plagued by drug and alcohol issues, weight problems and several broken marriages (8 marriages to be exact), Taylor has proven that she is more than capable of beating the odds.
