WiredPRNews.com - Weather News Report. Dallas News Desk — Forecasters see the tropical storm Hanna making its way to the Atlantic coast and also Massachusetts over the weekend. It is expected to be accompanied by strong winds upto 50 mph and also rain, which may go unto 4 or even six inches.
The storm, which is brewing in the Bahamas, is expected to turn into a hurricane by the time it reaches the south east coast of US. It is slated to reach the coast on Friday and storm into Massachusetts on Saturday or Sunday. A hectic weekend by all predictions!
The national weather service is not very optimistic about the weather as there are moderate to high risk currents expected along the south coast on Sunday. The urban areas are also not likely to be immune to floods especially the low lying ones. They are likely to be flooded with small streams overflowing their banks.Thunderstorms are likely on Friday night or Saturday morning.These forecasts are not absolutely accurate so people have been cautioned to stay tuned in for the latest. John Cocet the forecaster said”Hanna will be remembered as a nor’easter, not a terribly destructive storm, but one that will bring wind and rain to the East Coast from Virginia to Boston,” There is also the possibility of another storm following the Hanna.
