Dallas Cowboys Cornerback ‘Packman’ Jones Suspended
The NFL suspended Dallas Cowboys Cornerback, Adam ‘Packman’ Jones on Tuesday for a minimum of four games this season. The suspension comes after an alleged violation of the league’s personal conduct policy as reported by the Associated Press.
Jones was reportedly involved in a fight with his bodyguard on October 7 in Dallas while at a private party. Dallas police officers responded to a call regarding the scuffle, however, no charges were filed against the player or the bodyguard for the incident. Days before being suspended by the league, Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, announced that no disciplinary action would be taken against the player by the team. A determination of the full extent of Jones’s current suspension will be made by the League Commissioner, Rodger Goodell, after November 16.
Before joining the Dallas Cowboys team, Jones had a record of six arrests and 12 known occurrences that involved the intervention of police after being drafted to the Tennessee Titans in 2005. He was subsequently suspended from the Titans last year for his amassed legal trouble.
