WiredPRNews.com – Mourners brought floods of flowers, stuffed animals, and candles to the home of TV news anchor, Anne Pressly, after learning of her tragic death. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the 26 year-old anchorwoman was brutally beaten on Monday, and died as a result on Saturday while in a hospital. Pressly was found after the attack by her mother. There are currently no suspects in the case.
Anne Pressly was an anchor for Arkansas station KATV. Originally from South Carolina, she moved to Arkansas while in high school with her family. Several viewers of the local station sent in their condolences to KATV following the tragedy. The station has set up a fund, which by Sunday had reached $30,000, to assist with finding Pressly’s attacker and obtaining an arrest.
As reported in the AP article, Pressly’s family has issued the statement “Our lives will not be the same without her. We ask that you continue to pray for us as we struggle to move forward without our dear sweet daughter.”
They will reportedly set up a fund for scholarships provided in her name.
