Bank Robbery Suspect Makes Getaway in Style
WiredPRNews.com — A suspected bank robber in Irving reportedly had a limo waiting when he made his getaway, as reported by NBC 5 News. Cory Eugene Gill was arrested in Oklahoma on Friday after being suspected of robbing Comerica Bank in Irving that morning. According to the report, he was found in Oklahoma around 5:00 p.m.
Investigators state that Gill was dropped off in a limo before committing the crime and made arrangements to be picked up by another afterwards. Surveillance was set up to catch Gill after police received a tip that he had been spotted in Tulsa, OK, after being dropped off in a limousine. Over $11,000 was taken from the bank and most of it has been recovered.
Gill turned 40 on Monday but had to spend the day in Tulsa County Jail. Police spokesperson for the case, Officer Leland Ashley, commented “He’s [Gill] going out in style.”
