Microsoft offers reward

Wired PR News.com – A 15 year-old boy ran away from his home in Canada, during the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday, after having his X-Box gaming system taken away. According to a report by AFP, Brandon Crisp rode off on his bicycle in Ontario on October 13th and has been missing ever since.

Brandon’s father, Steve Crisp, spoke to local press regarding his son, stating the teenager’s habits had changed after he began playing the online game “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.” Crisp commented “This had become his identity, and I didn’t realize how in-depth this was until I took his Xbox away.” Crisp further commented that “This is such an issue that hits every parent out there, with video games that are starting to control our kids’ lives.”

Technology giant Microsoft has added $25,000 to the initial award offered by Child Find, a community newspaper, and the Internet service provider of the family to make a combined $50,000.

Volunteers in the community have joined law enforcement and investigators in the search for Brandon.
