Stock Gains Continue as the Week Ends
Wired PR News.com — The stock market has continued to show gains as the Friday closings neared, making this week a better one than last for many. As reported by the Associated Press, the market saw more advancements on Friday, which followed a series of high gains earlier in the week, despite discouraging reports on consumer spending.
As stated in the report, The Commerce Department indicated that consumer spending had been at its lowest since 2004. However, the response of investors to the announcement this week was not what many had previously feared. There seemed to be a number of investors who chose to remain confident in spite of proposed consumer fears about spending.
Despite this week’s gains, October of this year has still earned a reputation for producing the lowest numbers for the exchange in over two decades.
Analysts are expected to have better insight into the projected duration of the economic effects on the market after the release of the October employment report next Friday.
