Earthquakes Astound Residents of Dallas, Texas
Wired PR News.com – On what for some in Dallas, Texas proved to be one of the scariest Halloweens to date, minor earthquakes hit areas surrounding the metroplex throughout the day.
As reported by the Associated Press, many were unaware of the occurrences, due to their not producing significantly noticeable effects. However, some in the area were subjected to heavier earthquake activity and were shocked to experience the shaking of their apartment buildings and loud noises from alarms.
The earthquakes were reportedly centered in Irving and in close proximity to Grand Prairie. The U.S. Geological Society listed the magnitude of the quakes to be less than 3.0.
Several concerned residents reported experiencing tremors in their home to 911 operators. Earthquakes also hit areas in Oklahoma and Tennessee on Thursday and Friday, but were determined as unrelated to those in Texas due to their distance. No one has reported injuries or damages as a result of the events.
