Wired PR News – Top rated television program ‘24’ will return to Fox in January after a two-year hiatus, as reported by Reuters. The show will premier its seventh season on January 11, with two-hour episodes airing two days in a row. The showcase will begin the show’s seventh season. A movie version of the show is also slated to air on November 23 of this year, which will be a segue way into the season’s premier. It will feature TV veteran John Voight.
The sixth season of 24 brought lower ratings in comparison to past seasons, which seemed to spearhead a series of issues that contributed to delays of a timely return. The writer’s strike last year further persuaded producers to wait until 2009 to bring the show back.
24 star Keifer Sutherland served a 48 days jail sentence during the show’s break for drunk driving.
