Wired PR News.com – President Elect Barack Obama, and future First Lady, Michelle Obama were provided a tour of the White House on Monday by current president, George Bush and wife Laura Bush. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), The Obamas were warmly greeted by The Bushes upon their arrival and later held meetings in The Oval Office to discuss among other things, future plans and the current state of economic affairs.
Neither Bush nor Obama reportedly commented to the press about the meeting, but both were seen strolling the grounds of The White House and waving to crowds. As quoted of Chief of Staff, Josh Bolten, in the AP report, “I know the president will want to convey to President-elect Obama his sense of how to deal with some of the most important issues of the day…but exactly how he does that, I don’t know, and I don’t think anybody will know.”
Barack Obama will take office in January after his formal Inauguration.
