Wired PR News.com – On Tuesday, Veteran’s Day, a day to honor the country’s military heroes, President Elect Barack Obama took time to honor troops at a memorial in Chicago. As reported by the Associated Press, Obama, joined by war veteran Tammy Duckworth, paid respect to fallen soldiers at the memorial near Chicago’s Soldier Field.
Obama laid down a wreath and made a pledge to “work every single day to keep that sacred trust with all who have served.” The President Elect also stated “Since 9/11, a new generation of American heroes has borne a heavy load in facing down the threats of the 21st century, and their families have been asked to bear the painful absence of a loved one. These Americans are the best and bravest among us, and they are all in our thoughts and prayers.”
Obama will be handed two wars and a tough economic crisis after his Inauguration in January. He has diligently been working to find the best candidates to fill positions in his administration to get to work immediately on boosting America.
