Wired PR News.com – Travis Barker, the former drummer for the punk rock band Blink 182, has reportedly filed a lawsuit against the owners of the plane he was traveling in that crashed and killed four of the six passengers on board. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., as well as a maintenance company are named in the suit that was filed on Friday.
Barker was seriously injured in a plane crash in September, which killed two of his friends and also injured famous disc jockey, DJ AM. As noted in the AP report, Barker’s assistant, Chris Baker, and bodyguard, Charles Monroe Still Jr. and two pilots were killed in the crash. Barker and DJ AM were the only survivors.
The drummer’s lawsuit is for over $25,000 in damages. The mother of Still, Thelma Martin, has filed suit against Goodyear and the maintenance company as well, on behalf of her son.
The plane crash occurred in South Carolina on September 19.
