As reported by Fox 4 News, the woman was said to have parked her vehicle near the overpass at Lovers Lane before jumping off of the bridge. The woman was subsequently hit by a semi-truck after landing on the freeway.
A portion of 75 was shut down for approximately two hours to travelers driving northbound on the freeway after the accident, as noted in the Fox report. Investigators reportedly initially determined that the woman was dragged by the big rig approximately one mile after jumping from a different overpass than where what was believed to be her automobile was found.
Information identifying the woman or events leading to her apparent suicide had yet to be released.
