New Voice Chosen for Popular Nickelodeon Program “Dora the Explorer”

Twelve year-old Caitlin Sanchez has been given the job of a lifetime, as the new voice of Nickelodeon’s “Dora the Explorer” a character loved by millions of children around the world.
Wired PR News.com – As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Sanchez will replace Kathleen Herles, who has been the voice of the 7 year-old Latina phenomenon since the show first appeared on air in 2000. Herles has now entered college, which led to the change.
Sanchez was quoted as stating in regards to her new opportunity “I know I can be anything I want, and my parents have always encouraged me to be the best I can be and to enjoy myself, so that’s what I try to do…Dora really is an international icon to preschoolers and a really good role model, so it’s neat to see how she has spread across the globe and become so popular.”
The New Jersey teen is a professional actress and musician. “Dora the Explorer” is broadcast globally in 24 languages.
