Hot Ticket Item Bra for Men- Online Japanese Retailer’s
Wired PR News.com – An online retailer in Japan who sells bras to cross-dressing men is finding the items to be among their best sellers during a time of global financial strain. As reported by Reuters, the Wishroom shop, has managed to sell 300 of the bras within two weeks of launching. The bras are priced at around 2,800 yen or $30 a piece. The retailer sells lingerie items for women as well as men.
Surprised at the response received in regards to the lingerie items, Executive Director of the online company, Akiko Okunomiya was quoted as stating “I think more and more men are becoming interested in bras. Since we launched the men’s bra, we’ve been getting feedback from customers saying ‘wow, we’d been waiting for this for such a long time.”
The company’s top selling bra is stated in the Reuters report to be the catalyst for an online debate over lingerie for men between over 8,000 users of the Mixi, a popular Japanese social networking website.
