Violent Attacks in Mumbai Taj Mahal Hotel
Wired PR News.com – Gunmen opened fire on hostages held up in the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbia, India on Friday. As reported by CNN, Indian commandos killed the last three gunman left inside the luxury establishment Saturday, however the force behind the attacks remains unknown. According to the report, the terrorists appeared to be trained gunmen in their 20s who knew the hotel layout.
One hostage who managed to escape the attack was Sajjad Karim who is a British Parliament member. Describing one of the attackers, Karim was quoted as stating to CNN, “From the very brief glimpse that I got of him, he was a fairly young man of south Asian appearance, and he was wearing a smile on his face as he started to spray the bullets.”
Violent attacks in the country had been ongoing for three days, with 195 people so far reported as dead, and more than 200 wounded. The victims include at least six Americans, members of the Indian military, and a diverse group of people from various parts of the world.
