Breaking Dallas News - Dallas Driver Arrested After Hitting College Students with Car

A man in Dallas was arrested on Sunday after driving into a group of college students who were walking downtown. Wired PR News.com – As reported by Fox 4 News, 33 year-old Geronimo Chavez allegedly ran into four students in Deep Ellum at around 3:00 Sunday morning. The victims, Ben Everson, Jonathon Munoz, Sebastian Furness, and Dominic Furness, who range in ages 18 to 22, were hit near the 2400 block of Swiss Avenue. The status of their condition was not known at the time of the report.
Chavez, who fled the scene after hitting the students, was arrested after being found on the George Bush Turnpike. He now faces charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
As noted in the Fox 4 report, two of the hit and run victims are believed to play soccer for the West Texas A&M University team.
