Jennifer Hudson Family Murderer Arrested

After weeks of being identified as a “person of interest” in the killings of the mother, brother, and nephew of acclaimed singer and actress Jennifer Hudson, Eric Balfour was arrested on Monday for the murders, as reported by the Associated Press.

WiredPRNews.com — Balfour is the estranged brother in law of Hudson who police had detained since the discovery of the victim’s bodies late October on unrelated charges. Darnell Donerson and Jason Hudson were found shot to death in their family home in Chicago on October 24. Julian King, 7, was found dead in a parked SUV October 27, having been shot as well.

Balfour previously served time in jail for attempted murder and vehicular hijacking. As noted in the AP report, police have found the murder weapon, but have not publicly released information about the case since the arrest. Balfour has reportedly refused further cooperation with authorities, and is unwilling to take a lie detector test. He did not appear to have legal representation as of Monday.
