The 2009 Inauguration of President Elect Barack Obama is expected to have massive star appeal, drawing in the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce, and other major players in the entertainment industry.
Wired PR News.com –As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Washington Post writer Roxanne Roberts recently remarked “January 20 is going to be ground zero for everyone who wants to be part of this celebration, and that’s going to include boldface names and A-listers from Oprah on down.”
Celebrities have taken part in Inaugural events for years. Among the most notable famous participants, as highlighted in the AP report, are Robert Frost and Maya Angelou, who recited poems for John F. Kennedy and Bill Clinton respectively.
Celebrity parties and celebrations are also expected to be in widespread effect on January 20. MTV will be among several television stations, foundations, and other organizations that are slated to host their own unique style Inaugural Balls.
An estimated 4 million individuals are expected to flock to Inauguration Day events in Washington D.C.
