Google and MySpace Join Forces for Better Online User Connections
Search engine powerhouse Google, is teaming up with top ranked social networking site MySpace to enhance the latter’s user social connection capabilities.
Wired PR News.com –As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the new campaign is not only meant to broaden the reach for MySpace, but also counteract the growth of their top competitor Facebook.
The announcement of the partnership was made on Monday, and is reportedly part of MySpace’s initiative to increase their site availability for users from various Internet locations, with the creation of a universal login system. Facebook is stated to have created a similar feature for their service. The site currently has an estimated 130 million users across the globe. MySpace has an estimated 127 million.
MySpace and Google have a marketing history, with Google being utilized by the website for advertising. Facebook utilizes the ad services of Google’s top competition Microsoft.
