Obama National Finance Committee selling Inaugural event packages worth $50,000 to raise money for Inauguration activities.
Wired PR News.com – With the majority of hotels in Washington D.C. already booked solid, and flight seats to the area for the week of January 20 already full, it is evident that many are looking forward to witnessing first hand the events of Inauguration Day. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), those with an extra $50,000 may be able to have an even better experience with four day trip packages currently up for sale.
The announcement was made Friday by the Obama National Finance Committee, who is seeking to raise money for Inaugural activities. Several celebrities including Sharon Stone and Jaime Fox have reportedly donated to the cause. As noted in the AP report, the price is significantly lower than similar packages sold for the Inauguration of President Bush, whose package price tag was $250,000 for a first class Inaugural experience.
Included in the package are VIP concert seating, candle light dinners, tickets to the swearing in ceremony, four tickets to one of the official Inaugural Balls, and other extras.
