Elderly Dallas Good Samaritan Beaten in Home

An 87 year-old woman was beaten in her Oak Cliff home during a robbery.

Wired PR News.com – An elderly woman, regarded in her community as being a kind neighbor was robbed and beaten at her Oak Cliff residence on Sunday. As reported by CBS 11 News, the 87 year-old was attacked Sunday morning after letting a robber, whom she initially believed was someone needing help, into her home. The man reportedly approached her house at 4:00 am, and asked to use her phone. The woman afterward was knocked down and hit by the thief who made away with some of her jewelry. Hazel Lindor, a neighbor of the victim, remarked after the attack “She’s friendly. She loves people; loves to chat with them. She just wasn’t thinking.”

The neighborhood of the victim is now said to be on alert after the occurrence, with one neighbor quoted as commenting in the report “A lot of people need to be aware of what’s in their neighborhood. If you see strange people, call the police.”
