R&B singer Brandy now faces another lawsuit stemming from a 2006 car crash.
Wired PR News.com – On the heals of the release of her new album, Brandy is dealt a bad blow with a new lawsuit against her for a fatal car crash that occurred in 2006. As reported by E! Online, the lawsuit makes the fourth one filed against the star in relation to the crash.
The accident, which occurred on December 30, 2006, resulted in the death of 38 year-old Awatef Aboudihaj, who has also been named in the most recent lawsuit. Donald Lite, another party to the crash is suing both the singer and Aboudihaj for negligence and personal injury. Lite has said that the singer failed to take proper precautions that would have allowed Aboudihaj to make a sufficient stop that would have prevented the accident. The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount for damages. Brandy also currently has lawsuits against her filed by family members of deceased victim Aboudihaj. Prosecutors chose not to pursue a criminal case against the actress and singer.
