Mac Messenger to Get Upgrade Next Year
Mac Messenger will reportedly be equipped with new features early 2009.
Wired PR News.com – Users of the Mac Messenger will see new features for the program early next year. As reported by CNET, the Windows Live Messenger for Mac will be updated to include voice, video, and chat features using a more personalized version of the program. With the updates, AV support for the personalized messenger will be included that facilitate cross-platform chat that integrates audio and video technologies.
As further noted in the CNET report, additional features for the messenger tool are also in the works, and are slated to be ready for preview as early as January at Macworld.
Windows Messenger is a messaging client developed by Microsoft included in typical newer operating systems. The component is a popular feature in the realm of social networking, widely used in both home and corporate environments.
