Microsoft Reports Zune Glitch is Fixed
Microsoft says that their Zune media players are now working properly after end of December glitch.
Wired PR News.com – Microsoft has said that their Zune media players are back to working normally after a pre New Year glitch caused them to freeze up. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the company said that according to customer feedback the players appeared to be functioning correctly, with a few exceptions of people who have still expressed complaints.
A spokesperson for Microsoft, Brian Eskridge, was quoted in the AP report as stating, “It worked for me and it seems like it’s working for customers… From the limited time I’ve looked on the forums, it seems customers have had good success with it.”
The glitch prevented Zune users from playing music, games, and performing other normal functions of the device. Eskridge is noted as attributing the issue to last year’s leap year, which may have reset the device’s internal clock.
