President Barack Obama has retaken his oath for office after Tuesday’s blunder.
Wired PR News.com — President Elect Barack Obama has retaken his oath for office after millions witnessed the noticeable verbal mix-up the first time around. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the oath was again delivered by Chief Justice John Roberts in a rare presidential move on Wednesday night.
Obama was officially made the United States president as of noon on Tuesday, regardless of the swearing in ceremony stumble, however; he reportedly decided to redo the oath as a courteous gesture. The president is quoted in the AP report as stating, “We decided that because it was so much fun…” Reporters were on hand to witness the event, however, television camera crews and news photographers were not permitted in the room.
The blunder was aired on cable news stations throughout the day Tuesday. No mistakes were reportedly made the second time around.
