A man shoots his family and then himself after being fired from a hospital in LA.

Wired PR News.com – A man in Los Angeles shot his wife, children, and then himself after being fired from his job at a hospital. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Ervin Lupoe killed his family and self on Tuesday after sending a note to a television station making the claim that he and his wife planned the act together after both were fired.

Lupoe is quoted is the AP report as writing in the note that he and his wife were told by an administrator while under investigation for a childcare assistance scam, “You should not even had bothered to come to work today you should have blown your brains out.” He is further quoted as stating, “They did nothing to the manager who stated such and did not attempt to assist us in the matter, knowing we have no job and five children under 8 years with no place to go. So here we are.”

Although Lupoe made claims that wife Ana Lupoe assisted with making plans for the murder-suicide pact, police are investigating him as the suspect.

Police in the area released statements urging individuals dealing with economic difficulties to seek help to prevent themselves from resorting to these kinds of violent acts. Deputy Chief Kenneth Garner is quoted as stating, “Today our worst fear was realized… It’s just not a solution. There’s just so many ways you find alternatives to doing something so horrific and drastic as this.”
