Arkansas Medical Board Head Car Bombed
The head of the Arkansas Medical Board was critically injured after a car bomb went off in his driveway.
Wired PR News.com – The head of the Arkansas State Medical Board sustained serious injuries after a car bomb was detonated while he was on his way to work. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Trent P. Pierce was critically injured by the explosive device on Wednesday.
Bob Paudert, West Memphis Chief of Police, is quoted in the report as stating of the incident, “We believe he was on the outside of the car when the explosion occurred.” Pierce, who practices family medicine, is reportedly in critical condition at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee. The occurrence is currently under investigation as a possible act of terrorism.
William Trice, an attorney for the board is said to remark that he was unaware of any serious disputes Pierce may have had with anyone, nor did the physician regularly participate in board votes. Trice is quoted as stating, “This is just off the wall… It’s just such bizarre circumstances.”
