Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Cancer Surgery

Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg has been hospitalized for pancreatic cancer.
Wired PR News.com – Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been hospitalized for pancreatic cancer surgery. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Justice Ginsburg’s surgery Thursday is speculated to possibly lead to the Court’s lone woman stepping down.
Ginsburg, who is 75, has served on the Supreme Court since 1993 and is stated to be vocal in her liberal stances. She has had surgery for colon cancer prior in 1999, however, continued to serve on the bench throughout receiving treatment.
The Supreme Court will resume February 23, when the Court’s justices return from Winter break. Ginsburg will purportedly remain hospitalized for up to ten days at New York’s Memorial Sloan-Kettering Center.
As noted in the AP report, Ginsburg is the Supreme Court’s second female to serve in the country’s history, along with Sandra Day O’Conner who has now retired.
Pancreatic cancer is said to affect an estimated 38,000 individuals every year.
