Major Stars Missing from Grammys

Superstars Chris Brown and Rihanna were absent from the 2009 Grammy Awards amid alleged battery scandal.
Wired PR News.com – Singers Chris Brown and girlfriend Rihanna were both no shows at this year’s Grammy Awards held on Sunday amid an alleged battery scandal. As reported by Access Hollywood, both, who received multiple Grammy nominations between them, pulled out of the awards show after Brown was accused of battering an unidentified woman in a vehicle following an argument after a party Saturday night honoring Clive Davis.
Brown is under investigation for the incident by the LAPD. A spokesperson for the department is quoted as stating in the Access report, “Mr. Brown is a suspect that we are looking for… we would definitely like to speak with him.” The woman, who police say has visible injuries, named Brown as the person who attacked her.
Rihanna, who was scheduled to perform at the ceremony, reportedly pulled out Sunday before the event.
