Police have expressed intentions of investigating death threats against the mother of octuplets.
WiredPRNews.com – Police are set to conduct an investigation into alleged deaths threats against the mother whose recent birth of a set of octuplets has garnered widespread media attention. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Los Angeles police stated Thursday that they will begin an investigation regarding a number of threats made against Nadya Suleman, from individuals outraged that she is receiving public assistance to provide for her 14 children, all of whom were conceived using in vitro fertilization.
Suleman, 33, is an unemployed single mother. She reportedly receives food stamps and Social Security disability assistance to support her children. Her in vitro fertilization procedures are estimated to have cost $100,000.
Police Lt. John Romero is quoted in the AP report as stating of the threats, “We are aware of the media accounts of the threats, and that they are being sent to the West Los Angeles detectives for appropriate action.”
