NorthPark Mall Accused Shooter is Former Security Guard
An ex-security officer is the alleged shooter of a cleaning worker in a Dallas mall.
Wired PR News.com – The alleged shooter of a cleaning worker in a Dallas mall has been identified as a former security officer who was disgruntled by the loss of his job. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, Victor Guadalupe Alaniz was stated by police documents to have, “shown up on [the] property intoxicated exhibiting irrational behavior since his termination… The suspect made statements to the officers about the lack of security in the parking lot at night.”
The shooting occurred last week in NorthPark mall. Early tests were shown to have linked a handgun Alaniz had in his possession to the one involved in the shooting. Surveillence video also purportedly shows the man at the time of the incident.
The shooting victim, Antonio Reyes Castillo, has been treated and released from the hospital. Alaniz faces aggravated assault charges.
