WiredPRNews.com — An 18 year-old mentally challenged teenager has been sentenced to 100 years in prison for sexual assault of a child. As reported by the Paris News, Paris, Texas teenager Aaron Hart pleaded guilty to sexual assault and reportedly asked a jury to determine his sentence. The 18 year old, who is a recent graduate of Paris High School is said to have been in a special education program throughout his school career.
District Judge Eric Clifford is quoted in the Paris News report as stating of Hall’s consecutive prison terms, “I stacked them. The kid is of diminished intellect and doesn’t need to be in prison, but there wasn’t any place to put him. I just couldn’t take a chance running him concurrently with a 30-year sentence and him being back out in the community in 15 years.”
