The President is set to sign the recently passed stimulus bill into law today.
Wired PR News.com – Obama is set to sign into law a massive stimulus plan Tuesday that many believe is a first important step towards significantly changing the country’s economic circumstances for the better. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), President Barack Obama will sign the bill today in Colorado at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
As noted in the AP report, Tuesday also marks the deadline for automakers General Motors Corp. and Chrysler LLC to submit viability plans to the federal government, after receiving $13.4 billion in loans.
The $787 billion stimulus bill is intended to help the economy by facilitating increased consumer spending and the creation of millions of jobs. The White House has launched a website, http://www.recovery.gov to allow individuals to keep track of how the tax money is being spent.
