Octuplet Mom Father to Appear on Oprah
The father of the mother whose recent birth to octuplets sparked major controversy gets interviewed by Oprah.
WiredPRNews.com – The father of Nadya Suleman, the mother whose birth to octuplets has sparked national debate, recently sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey. As reported by E! Online, Ed Doud told the prominent talk show host that his daughter, as well as the doctor who performed her fertility procedure, was irresponsible.
Doud is quoted as stating, “Now I’m no psychiatrist, but I question her mental situation.” Suleman’s father is also quoted as stating of his daughter’s financial circumstances, “I say to everybody now: People, we do need help. Do not punish my daughter for what she had done and do not punish the babies, because they were given by God.”
Suleman now has 14 children total, and is reportedly without sufficient means to provide for them. Many have become outraged by the mother using fertility drugs to have the children without stronger financial support.
