Man’s infamous stint on Wife Swap sparks controversy.
WiredPRNews.com – A San Francisco man who appeared on the hit reality series “Wife Swap” last month has ignited a storm of controversy for his treatment of a mother of four. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Stephen Fowler has received backlash since the airing of an episode of the program in which he belittled Gayla Long, who spent two weeks with his family in San Francisco. Fowler, a British man is quoted as having stated to Long, seeming to some to condemn middle America, “Your two languages seem to be bad English and redneck.”
Several of Fowler’s remarks have led to many expressing their contempt for the environmentalist online, including his wife, who recommended he seek professional help via her blog. A website, StephenFowlerSucks.com was also created out of the controversy.
