American Idol Judge Reacts
Kara DioGuardi reacts to comments made by Paula Abdul.
WiredPRNews.com – American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi reacted to comments recently made by fellow AI judge Paula Abdul, regarding the hit show’s addition of a new cast mate. As reported by Access Hollywood, the popular songwriter is quoted as firing back in an exclusive statement to the entertainment media source, “Paula has a right to her opinions, but I was disappointed by her comments, and hurt that she did not address them to me in person.”
As noted by the Access Hollywood report, Paula remarked to OK! Magazine that although her relationship with DioGuardi is a good one, she believed the addition of a fourth judge was not a good move for the reality show. Abdul is quoted in the report as stating in the OK! Interview, “We tried four judges before and it doesn’t work. It takes up so much time for each of us to give our opinion that it slows down the pace of the show.”
DioGuardi is further quoted as stating that in spite of the controversy, “I am proud of my contributions to the show, and remain excited about the rest of the season.”
