Amazon ships highly anticipated device one day early.
Wired PR News.com – Amazon has decided to ship their Kindle 2 one day earlier than previously announced. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), shipping for the wireless device began on Monday so that customers would begin to receive it by Tuesday.
The Kindle 2, priced at $359, costs the same as Amazon’s first version; however, it has been equipped with different features including a thinner design. The reader has enough storage space to hold over 1,500, which is 1,300 more than the earlier version, and includes a text reader.
Other features of the Kindle 2 as described on the Amazon website includes wireless capabilities for downloading books and receiving them within 60 seconds without the need for a PC, an extended battery life, text-to-speech functions, a large reading assortment to choose from, and other qualities.
