Texas Governor campaign seeks information on political rival

Operatives working for the Texas Governor have filed an open records request for information on Kay Bailey Hutchinson.

WiredPRNews.com – Members of Rick Perry’s camp have requested information on Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, the Texas Governor is believed to be gearing up for a tough battle with political Rival Hutchinson in a campaign for governor.

The information sought is reportedly that pertaining to the Senator’s husband, attorney Ray Hutchinson. Mark Miner, a spokesperson for Perry’s campaign, is quoted as stating of the documents request, “We’re interested, as most Texans would be, in how Senator Bailout’s husband’s bond business has benefited from her job in D.C.”

Rick Wiley, Hutchinson’s campaign manager, is quoted in the report as responding, “On the heels of some bad poll numbers, Rick Perry is taking the low road for an election that’s 13 months away… Republicans don’t want that kind of campaign, but he’s already showing his hand and decided to go down that road. It’s vintage Rick Perry.”
