President Obama Defends Stimulus

The President shot back at critics Friday regarding his economic recovery plan.
Wired PR News – President Barack Obama defended his economic stimulus bill Friday, stating it was the right thing to do. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Obama stated during a police recruit graduation ceremony on Friday that the recovery plan is saving jobs, despite February’s 651,000 job losses bringing the total lost since the beginning of the recession to 4.4 million. The president is quoted as stating to critics, “I know we did the right thing,” and noted the numerous jobs that have been saved as a result of its passing.
Obama is further quoted as stating of the 114th class of police recruits in the capitol city of Ohio, “I look at these young men and women, I look into their eyes and I see their badges today, and I know we did the right thing.”
