Anna Nicole Smith Companion Charged

Anna Nicole Smith’s boyfriend and doctors have been charged with felony conspiracy in relation to her 2007 drug overdose.
Wired PR News – The boyfriend of the late Anna Nicole Smith, along with two of her doctors, Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich, has been charged with conspiracy in the administration of prescription drugs to Smith before her death. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the three allegedly gave the former Playboy playmate thousands of unneeded prescription medications during the years prior to her death in 2007.
Edmund G. Brown, California Attorney General, is quoted as releasing a statement saying, “These individuals repeatedly and excessively furnished thousands of prescription pills to Anna Nicole Smith, often for no legitimate medical purpose.” Brown is further quoted as stating that Kapoor and Eroshevich “violated their ethical obligations as physicians, while Mr. Stern funneled highly addictive drugs to Ms. Smith.”
As noted by the AP, the charges were filed this week following an investigation from several agencies including the federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the state Medical Board.
