The reality star passed away Sunday after a battle with cancer.
Wired PR News – British reality television star Jade Goody died on Sunday after a battle with cervical cancer. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Goody’s family requested “privacy at last” following the death of the very public 27 year old.
Goody rose to fame as a controversial character on Britian’s version of the top rated reality television series “Big Brother” in 2002. Her actions on the show, which features a diverse group of individuals living together in the same household while under the constant watch of cameras, ignited a series of debates regarding race and other issues. Goody was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2008, while on another reality show “Celebrity Big Brother.” She was being filmed when she received her diagnosis.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown is quoted as stating of the late star, “She was a courageous woman both in life and death, and the whole country have admired her determination to provide a bright future for her children.”
