The City of Dallas is reportedly owed millions in unpaid tickets.Wired PR News – A recent audit revealed that the City of Dallas is due millions in unpaid tickets. As reported by CBS 11 News, a Dallas Municipal Court system review revealed that the city is owed millions in fines that have yet to be paid and system errors may be the root of issues for those who have paid their tickets.As noted in the report, the Audit of Municipal Court Fines and Fees Collection Processes revealed issues with extended time frames for cases being resolved, and other problems within the system that have led to the amount owed to the city piling up significantly.Gloria Lopez Carter, Dallas Director of Court and Detention Services, is quoted in the report as stating of the matter, “Right now the demand exceeds the supply. What that means is there are more people requesting court dates than there is a spot on the docket for them.”
