As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Chief Executive Eric Schmidt as well as the company’s co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin were shown to have received the $1 yearly salaries they’ve kept since 2004 for 2008 in a filing released Tuesday. The three also do not receive bonuses or additional awards from stock due to their major ownership of shares in the company.Despite their 2008 losses, which combined for all three men totaled $25.8 billion, the executives are still categorized as being among the richest people in the world. As noted by the AP, Google plans to increase the availability of their stock options, and possibly add more than 8 million shares to their award pool.Photo Credit: Charles Haynes
